   Après un voyage hasardeux mais pittoresque sur une route à voie unique, nous arrivons au village de Kyaiktiyo où nous accueillent, les enfants du village. De là, un camion nous transporte dans la montagne jusqu'au camp de base d'où nous escaladons le reste de la montagne jusqu'au sommet, à pied ou en chaise à porteurs. After an hazardous but picturesque trip on a one way road, we arrive at the village of Kyaiktiyo where we are greeted by the children of the village. From there, we board a truck to climb the hill up to the base camp from where we climb to the top of the mountain, on foot or on a chair carried by men. |
   Nous arrivons enfin, au sommet de la montagne accueillis par le tintamarre habituel des foires religieuses. Là nous découvrons avec surprise le fameux rocher suspendu qui semble n'attendre qu'une chiquenaude pour se balancer dans le vide, site d'une pagode particulièrement appréciée des populations locales. We finally arrive at the summit of the mountain welcomed by the usual hubbub of the religious fairs. There, we discover with surprise, the famous suspended rock which seem to wait for a fillip to fall into the empty space, site of a pagoda particularly appreciate by the local population. |
